Background

 I founded Enhancing Businesses in 2009 after 13 years experience as a senior manager with Argos focusing on logistics and customer service.

After a year with the regional food group for the West Midlands, HEFF promoting local food. I discovered that using my management experience to support businesses was a real pleasure and immensely rewarding and led me to set up Enhancing Businesses ltd.

 

 

What can I do for you?

I have a lot of experience working with big and small organisations, I always spend time with a new client to understand what they are looking for and always ask the most important question, “why?” to ensure you get exactly what you need.

Most often I can help businesses with:

  • Website construction –  Using templates in WordPress to create great looking sites on a budget.
  • Training – Most often on Microsoft Excel’s advanced features or Microsoft Access but also on other platforms as and when the need arises.
  • Business Analysis and Project Management – Most often when companies are looking to become more efficient I work with them to understand their business then suggest and implement a software solution that fits their needs.

 Social Media

When I set up the business I found myself using Twitter and LinkedIn to promote myself and learned a lot about how to use social media sites.  Combined with my strategic background I became recognised as a local expert in the “how” and the “why”

This lead to me working with Jan Minihane where we created ‘Social Media…4Starters’ a hands on training business focused on delivering great quality training.  As well as training local businesses we also worked for Shropshire Council’s Tourism arm to train and give advise to members throughout the county.
